Andrew Stuart is Co-Founder of Hydrogen Optimized and the company’s founding CEO. As Executive Chairman, Andrew plays an active leadership role in the company, supporting the CEO and the Hydrogen Optimized team in strategy and technology development, and externally with customers, investors and other stakeholders. He also serves as Chairman, President and CEO of Key DH Technologies Inc., the parent company of Hydrogen Optimized. Andrew’s career spans more than 25 years in the fields of hydrogen and energy-related technologies worldwide. An experienced company builder, he has led teams in the development of hydrogen isotopes, green hydrogen technologies, products and manufacturing processes, and in commercial sales and project implementation. Andrew has a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a minor in business from McGill University and a Master of Applied Science degree from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Canada’s premier nuclear science and technology organization.

Denis Krude is responsible for the overall direction and performance of Hydrogen Optimized. He applies over two decades of executive-level experience in engineering and technology businesses to the role. Denis has a proven track record of driving innovation, navigating complex challenges, and delivering results that exceed expectations. He brings more than 25 years of experience heading multicultural and cross-functional teams across multiple locations worldwide, emphasizing performance and leadership values. Denis has led numerous international large-scale plant engineering and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects in various functions, with expertise that spans the entire plant engineering value chain: business development, sales, product management, engineering, project execution and after-sales service. Before joining Isowater, Denis served as CEO and a Member of the Executive Board at a leading technology and plant engineering company in Germany that specializes in electrolysis and green hydrogen. Denis, a German national, holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from RWTH Aachen University.

Markus Richter leads the development and implementation of financial operations and strategy at Hydrogen Optimized. He is responsible for the company’s financial planning and reporting, and leads its equity and debt financing initiatives. Markus is an international finance expert with senior-level experience at a number of companies, including one where he served as Head of Structured Finance for Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He is a global debt and equity expert with a proven record in equity, buyer’s credits, working capital and other financing. His experience includes the development of start-ups in renewable and non-renewable power generation and process technologies, as well as supply chain finance, mergers and acquisitions, and project development.

Lorraine Mickiewicz heads the human resources function, oversees corporate governance, and has a leadership role in business operations and finance at Hydrogen Optimized. Prior to joining the company, Lorraine gained customer sales and service experience at a leading insurance provider.

Edward Stuart is a Co-Founder of Hydrogen Optimized and leads technology development and commercialization at the company. He is a listed inventor on many of the company’s patents. Beyond his principal technology focus, Edward is active in many aspects of the business including manufacturing and supply chain, customer discovery, project development and government relations. He is the fourth-generation Stuart family member to continue the family’s legacy in green hydrogen and deuterium oxide production technologies, and plays an active role in the development and commercialization of technology used in their co-production. Edward has served as a director on the board of the Canadian Hydrogen Association since 2021, and is a founding director of Hydrogen Ontario. Both inside and outside these industry associations, he plays an active advocacy role with federal and provincial government officials in support of Hydrogen Optimized and Canada’s green hydrogen industry. Edward studied Chemical Engineering at Dalhousie University, where he served as President of the Dalhousie Diploma of Engineering Society.

Philippe Morin leads business development and sales at Hydrogen Optimized, with responsibility for both domestic and international markets. Fluent in French, English and Danish, Philippe brings to the company over 20 years of international experience in the industrial gas, renewable energy and green hydrogen sectors.

Philippe is a specialist in sales and business development, strategy definition and implementation with extensive experience in delivering high-impact, large-scale projects. This background is directly applicable to his work at Hydrogen Optimized. Philippe’s achievements include market development for a large hydrogen plant in Quebec; facilitating a leading biogas producer’s successful entry into the North American market; and originating green hydrogen projects for three separate companies in Canada.

Bryce Conacher is responsible for business development and sales at Hydrogen Optimized in North America. In this role he generates sales opportunities for the company’s RuggedCell™ high-power green hydrogen production systems and cultivates customer relationships in Canada and the United States. Bryce’s role continues a career in commercial applications of emerging sustainable technologies in which he has gained considerable business management and sales experience in renewables, cleantech and carbon management. Previously, he has worked at a major global renewable energy company as Director, Global Marketing and Sustainability, where he supported business development teams around the world in green energy sales and the creation of a global ESG strategy. Bryce holds a BA in Political Theory and the Environment from University of Victoria, and an MBA from EDHEC Business School.

Daniel Mateos is responsible for business development and sales at Hydrogen Optimized in Europe. In this role he generates sales opportunities for the company’s RuggedCell™ high-power clean hydrogen production systems and cultivates customer relationships in the European market. With over 20 years of international experience in clean energy and green hydrogen technology and engineering, as well as industrial gases, Daniel’s capabilities are directly applicable to his work at Hydrogen Optimized. As a specialist in business development, sales and project implementation, he has contributed significantly to the development of new business opportunities and products in the chemical and oil and gas industries. Previously, Daniel has worked at a major industrial gas company in Europe in a variety of management roles, leading business development for green hydrogen and clean energy projects. He also worked at German and Spanish companies involved in the development and engineering of plants for the oil, gas and chemical industries. He holds several patents in these fields. Daniel earned a degree in Engineering (Dipl. Ing.) from UPM Madrid in Spain, and a Specialization in Master Senior Process and Chemical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
