WHTC 2021 Pre-Event Workshop: Global Trade in H2 and H2 Products
June 17 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Canada’s fuel cell and electrolyzer companies are engaged in projects around the world. Our mining and energy companies sell products and technical expertise to global customers. German technology and manufacturing is also at the global frontend and domestic industry is looking to import significant amounts of hydrogen in the future. Our industries rely on a global supply chain for parts and products. As hydrogen energy plays a larger role in the world’s energy mix, demand for products and services in the entire hydrogen value chain is set to grow exponentially: hydrogen exports, hydrogen technology, minerals, polymers, fuel cell components, electric vehicles and components, etc. As trading nations, Canada and Germany are committed to developing an international market for hydrogen and hydrogen technology.
Learning from successful case studies to date, delegates will be asked to examine key challenges. What international standards are needed? What conditions will trigger investment? What are our respective strengths? Where do we compete? How can we ensure open access to business opportunities?
This workshop will set the stage for the World Hydrogen Technology Convention together with f-cell+HFC taking place over 3-days the following week. In 16 workshops, each discussing a specific hydrogen/fuel cell business opportunity and host by leading sector companies, delegates will be asked to continue the discussion, carrying the conversation from a broad international focus to immediate business opportunities that are being deployed today. Be sure you are part of the commercialization of hydrogen energy.
